Ted Wang is a Partner at Iconiq Growth, the venture capital division of Iconiq Capital, a global multi-family office and venture capital firm. His also a board partner at Cowboy Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund based in the Bay Area.[1][2] Wang invests in both enterprise software and consumer facing technology companies and has investments in companies such as Drata, SVT Robotics, Vic.ai, Lumatax, Fullcast.io, and Aura Health. He also assisted companies in understanding the metrics needed to achieve Series A and Series B financing.[3][4]

Before his career in venture capital, Wang was one of the country's leading startup lawyers[5] and a partner at the technology law firm Fenwick & West for over a decade. He served as outside counsel to various successful venture-backed technology companies, including Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Square, Spotify, Gusto, Stripe, and Wealthfront.[1][2][6]Wang was recognized for his contributions to the legal field, including the creation of the open-source Series Seed Documents in 2010, with the help of Marc Andreessen.[7][8][9][10]

Wang holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

In addition to his work in venture capital and law, Wang is also a DJ. His music is available on SoundCloud under the stage name, DopeFriendTed.[11]
