La Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013, comunament coneguda com a E3 2013, va ser de 19ª celebració de la Electronic Entertainment Expo. Aquest esdeveniment va tenir lloc a Los Angeles Convention Center a Los Angeles, Califòrnia. Aquest va començar l'11 de juny de 2013 i va finalitzar el 13 de juny de 2013, amb 48.200 assistents totals.[1]

Els principals punts destacats van incloure detalls de dues grans consoles de nova generació, la Microsoft Xbox One i la Sony PlayStation 4, així com els jocs de Nintendo Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, i Super Smash Bros per a Nintendo 3DS i Wii U.[2][3]

Rodes de premsa

Konami, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, i Sony tots van acollir conferències de premsa durant la conferència.[4] Malgrat això, Nintendo va prendre un enfocament diferent sense celebrar una conferència de premsa tradicional. En canvi, Nintendo va celebrar "alguns esdeveniments més petits que se centren específicament en la nostra línia de programació", i va emetre un episodi especial de Nintendo Direct per centrar-se en els propers llançaments dels Estats Units i en els nous jocs presentats.[5]

Konami

Konami va celebrar el seu 3r espectacle anual pre-E3 el 6 de juny de 2013. La presentació va mostrar el 40 aniversari de la companyia i la seva iniciativa Dance Dance Revolution: Classroom Edition, abans de proporcionar actualitzacions sobre els pròxims llançaments de jocs. Això inclou els jocs Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 i Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.[6]

Microsoft

La conferència de premsa de Microsoft es va dur a terme el 10 de juny de 2013 a les 4:30 p.m. (GMT). La companyia va anunciar una data de llançament del novembre de 2013 per a la seva pròxima consola de videojocs Xbox One, a un preu de $499.[7] També es va revelar la programació dels videojocs, incloent-hi Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome i el següent lliurament de Halo,[8] més tard es va revelar que era Halo 5: Guardians.

Electronic Arts

La conferència de premsa Electronic Arts va tenir lloc el 10 de juny de 2013 a les 1:00 p.m. (PDT). Entre els nous títols mostrats es trobava el joc de curses Need for Speed Rivals, el simulador de parkour Mirror's Edge Catalyst i els tiradors en primera persona Battlefield 4 i Titanfall. EA Sports va anunciar una sèrie de llançaments nous, com ara Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14, FIFA 14, NHL 14 i EA Sports UFC.[11]

Ubisoft

La conferència de premsa d'Ubisoft va tenir lloc el 10 de juny de 2013 a les 3:00 p.m. (PDT). Pròxims jocs d'acció i aventura inclosos com Watch Dogs i les seqüeles Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag i Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.[12] Dues noves franquícies – The Crew i The Division – també es van anunciar.

Sony

La conferència de premsa de Sony va tenir lloc el 10 de juny de 2013 a les 6:00 p.m. (PDT). La PlayStation 4 es va mostrar públicament per primera vegada, al detall a $399.[13] S'ha inclòs la programació dels videojocs Infamous Second Son, The Order: 1886 i Killzone Shadow Fall. També es van introduir jocs nous per a la PlayStation 3, tal com Gran Turismo 6, Beyond: Two Souls i The Last of Us.[14]

Nintendo

L'edició de l'E3 de Nintendo Direct va ser emès l'11 de juny de 2013 a les 7:00 a.m. (PDT). Nintendo va mostrar per primera vegada un nou tràilers dels títols per a Nintendo 3DS Pokémon X i Y, incloent l'anunci d'un nou tipus Pokémon, Tipus Fada. Després d'això, Nintendo es va centrar principalment en mostrar els pròxims títols per a la Wii U.
